Our Curriculum

The ARK Academy uses the renowned research driven curriculum, Teaching Strategies as our main educational resource alongside other supplemental resources. Teaching Strategies is the only connected ecosystem in Early Childhood Education connecting. It is designed to connect teachers, children, and families to engaging learning experiences, informative data, and stronger partnerships. It drives a comprehensive solution for our youngest learners from infant/toddler years to preschool years.
~~~Our “Whole child” approach allows connection of the curriculum to individual child assessments and ultimately, individualized learning.
~~~Our supplemental curriculum includes Kids of Integrity, Adventures in Learning, Adventures for Toddlers, and Connecting with Infants and altogether, these forms a basis for our daily activities and classroom environments.
~~~These curricula provide for each area of your child’s development: social-emotional, physical, intellectual, creative- aesthetic, and language-literacy while providing opportunities for multicultural and inclusive experiences.
~~~Since young children learn best through their senses and by moving, our teachers are trained to create these experiences throughout the day. Our teachers use play experiences to help children learn skills and concepts.
~~~Our curriculum allows for individualization in our daily activity plans; it provides experiences and environments that will encourage your child to explore and discover at their own pace and according to their own interests. While each classroom will have a daily schedule of activities, all schedules are flexible and can be changed at any time by the classroom lead teacher
In summary, at The ARK Academy, we love first, then teach. This is the hallmark of our program.
Our Unique Curriculum Structure
One core belief that drives our choice in curriculum is that every child is different, learns differently, and there is not a “one size fits all” when it comes to their learning.
It is therefore crucial for children to have the opportunities to construct their own knowledge through exploration, interaction with materials, and introduction to positive role models.
Our program seeks to redefine approaches to early childhood education by integrating different proven methodologies. Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Creative Curriculum, and a STEAM-powered curriculum seamlessly blended in various forms to meet the diverse needs of young children. Our adapted Bible-based, character-building Kids of Integrity curriculum focuses on our value-based mission where children are encouraged from an early stage to be responsible citizens. The combination of these various curricula encompasses our program.
